Description
English: Diagram of a triple-quad MS operating in tandem-mass spectrometry mode. Ions (colored arrows) come from the ionization source and exit to a detector. The first quadrupole acts as a mass filter and isolates a specific m/z. The second quad fragments the isolated ion. The third quad isolates a specific product ion m/z. Created using Inkscape by Matthew J. Keller.
