An ion that differs only in isotopic composition (number of isotopic substitutions), e.g. CH4+. and CH3D+. or 10BF3 and 11BF3. The ions forming an isotope cluster. The term isotopologue is a contraction of ??????????????????????isotopic homologue?????????????????????????.
