DRAFT DEFINITION
Post-acceleration detector

A high voltage bias is applied pre detection and post analyser to accelerate the ions and produce an improved signal at the detector. This device is particularly useful for large molecules (> 100kDa) and polymers.

Considered between 2004 and 2006 but not included in the 2006 PAC submission
