There is no small amount of confusion regarding this fact due in part to the seven years that elapsed between the posting of the unreviewed 2006 draft of the document (still linked as "provisional recommendations" on the IUPAC website) and the publication of the peer reviewed document in 2013. Comments from reviewers during the peer review process led to a revision of the definition to what is now indicated on the multiple reaction monitoring page of this wiki.
