DRAFT DEFINITION
Fixed precursor ion scan

Mass selection followed by ion kinetic energy analysis- If a precursor ion is selected by a magnetic sector all product ions formed from it in the field-free region between the magnetic sector and a flowing electric sector can be identified in an ion kinetic energy spectrum.

Considered between 2004 and 2006 but not included in the 2006 PAC submission
This is an unofficial draft definition presented for information and comment.
