Atmospheric pressure photoionization
This term refers to photo-ionization and subsequent atmospheric pressure chemical ionization that takes place at atmospheric pressure as opposed to the reduced pressure is normally used for the ionization region of photo-ionization. See also atmospheric pressure chemical ionization and photo-ionization.


(alternate definition: A type of atmospheric pressure chemical ionization in that the reactant ions are generated with the process of photo-ionization. See also atmospheric pressure chemical ionization and photo-ionization.)
