Hybrid mass spectrometer
A mass spectrometer that combines m/z analyzers of different types to perform tandem mass spectrometry.
Considered between 2004 and 2006 but not included in the 2006 PAC submission

Orange Book Entry

A mass spectrometer which combines analysers of different types, e.g . a magnetic plus electric sector combined with a quadrupole. See also Tandem Mass Spectrometer.
