IUPAC RECOMMENDATIONS 2013
Axialization
Technique used in Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry to limit the translational motion of the trapped ions so that they occupy a small volume near the trap center, thus optimizing performance criteria including resolving power.
