Peptide sequence tag
Sequence of peptide ion fragment masses that can be used to aid in the identification of the amino acid sequence. Note: Sequence tags are often obtained in tandem mass spectrometry analysis of peptides from an unknown protein that has been chemically or enzymatically cleaved into peptide fragments.
