V-ion
High-energy product ion of a protonated peptide formally equivalent to a y-ion with the ionizing proton on the N-terminus, but with elimination of HR from the N-terminus where R is the side-chain on the C-atom of the N-terminal residue, to give a (H2N+=CHCO-) structure.
