A molecular ion containing one or more of the naturally occurring isotopes of the atoms that make up the molecular structure. Thus for ethyl bromide there are isotopic molecular ions such as 13CCH5 Br+?????????????????????, C2H4 DBr+?????????????????????, C2H5 81Br+?????????????????????, 13C2H5 81Br+????????????????????? etc.
