DRAFT DEFINITION
High-field asymmetric waveform ion mobility spectrometry

The separation of ions between two concentric cylindrical electrodes oscillate due to a high voltage asymmetric waveform whereby ions migrate towards one of the two electrodes depending on the ratio of the high- to low-field mobility of the ion.

Considered between 2004 and 2006 but not included in the 2006 PAC submission
This is an unofficial draft definition presented for information and comment.
